More About This Wine
About Domaine Christian Moreau Pere et Fils
The year 2002 marked a new start here. The Moreau family regained control of their estate vineyards, which had been out of their since 1985. Since then, Christian Moreau and his son Fabien have been producing richly flavored yet precise examples of Chablis.
89 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - July/August 2011
Bright yellow with a gold tinge. White flowers, peach and lemon drop on the nose. Firmly built but less generous than the other 2009s here. There's a hint of dusty stone but not the obvious minerality of the other grand crus, but then these vines are just ten years old. Finishes with a spicy quality. Half of this wine was aged in barriques, none of which were new. This should offer early appeal.
