Blend of Varietals, Need to be Decanted
by Doka11808066
In January 2014, I bought two bottles of Overture from Opus One after the tasting and winery tour. I have it opened at a local restaurant without decanting. The flavor and aroma were not there yet. I tried again at the end of 2014 at home. I decanted and let it sit for two hours. The wine has smoothed up and developed to be the overture that it was meant to be. Comparing to Opus One 2010 that I tasted at the underground tasting room of Opus One. It is a good opening of the real orchestra.
