($26) Medium red. Enticing nose hints at ripe red cherry, underbrush and earth. Then ripe and fleshy in the mouth, with a chunky quality to the ripe red cherry, dried herb and tobacco flavors. The bright, almost tart acidity lifts this ripe, ready-to-drink wine on the rather short finish. Already quite enjoyable now and not likely to age long, this is an ideal barbecue or restaurant wine-by-the-glass choice.
