($62; for 500 ml.; 280 g/l residual sugar with no botrytis; raised in 100% new French oak) Vivid gold. Suave, highly aromatic bouquet of dried pit fruits, marzipan, quince paste, vanilla and baking spices. Juicy, palate-coating apricot and peach nectar flavors are extremely sweet but are given grip by a bitter orange quality. Becomes spicier with air and finishes with outstanding persistence.
