($20) Inky purple. Candied black fruits, licorice, black pepper and cocoa powder on the nose and palate, lifted by a violet nuance. Seamless and fruit-driven, with a silky texture and no obvious tannins. Still, this is a bit youthfully tight today, and in need of aeration. Turned more tangy with aeration, showing good clarity on the back end.
