(a cabernet sauvignon/sangiovese blend; 14% alcohol) Deep ruby with inky highlights. Very strong, cabernet-driven blackcurrant, black pepper and herbal notes dominate the nose. Smooth and rich, with red berry and licorice flavors signalling the sangiovese presence. The moderately long, slightly astringent finish shows youthfully chewy tannins and an herbal quality.
