92 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - November/December 2010

($138; 90% tempranillo and 5% graciano, with 5% viura and malvasia skins) Inky ruby. Pungent aromas of blackberry, cherry cola, violet and licorice, with a strong spicy quality. Lush, fleshy and pliant, with enticing, densely packed flavors of boysenberry, candied raspberry, bitter chocolate, violet and cracked pepper. Richer than the "regular" bottling, but I prefer that wine's elegance today; the finish features substantial but fine-grained tannins and lingering smokiness.
