Clos de la Roilette bottles Gamay from 12 hectares of Fleurie's best parcels as well as a hectare in Brouilly. Since 1984, Alain Coudert has been the winemaker here, producing some of the most concentrated and weighty wines of Fleurie.

Deep ruby. Smoky dark fruits and Indian spices on the nose, complicated by notes of beef jerky, violet and musky herbs. Dense but light on its feet, showing a refreshingly bitter quality to its mineral-laced blackberry and cherry flavors. Gains sweetness with air and finishes with excellent clarity and spicy persistence. If you must drink this now give it at least an hour of air.
