90(+?) Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - March/April 2011

Good full ruby-purple. Very fresh, intense aromas of dark plum, violet, tobacco and loam. Then lighter on the palate than the rich nose suggests, but with good volume and depth to the floral and dark fruit flavors. Shows a distinctly old-school texture, with a leaner, more austere mouthfeel than the other Taurasi wines in the Terradora portfolio. But there's enough underlying structure to make this cellarworthy, and it certainly needs time to develop a little more flesh. Finishes long, with building but fine-grained tannins.
