Glass-staining ruby. Wild, pungent scents of redcurrant, cherry pit, anise and musky herbs, plus a hint of fresh tobacco leaf. Sappy, spicy, penetrating red fruit flavors give way to a darker blackcurrant quality in the middle palate and pick up a violet pastille element. Nicely concentrated and precise, finishing with impressive grip and a long, subtly sweet finish. Id let this wine age for at least another three years.
