87(+?)? Points | International Wine Cellar , September/October 2011

Pale yellow.  Slightly reduced aromas of apple and flinty, smoky silex.  Quite dry and savory, even austere, with apple, spice and crushed stone flavors dominating.  No easy sweetness here but finishes with good focus and persistence.  Has this light wine lost some of the freshness it displayed from barrel a year ago or is it passing through an awkward stage today?
