2009 Jean-Marc & Hugues Pavelot Pernand-Vergelesses Les Vergelesses
Producer: Jean-Marc & Hugues Pavelot
Style: Red Wine
Grape Type: Pinot Noir
Origin: France
Region: Burgundy
Appellation: Cote de Beaune
88-91 Points | International Wine Cellar , January/February 2011
Good deep red. Refined, youthfully medicinal aromas of black cherry, crushed rock, menthol and licorice. Juicy, spicy and imploded; a distinctly cool, minerally style. Comes across as skinnier today than the Narbantons and Guettes, and so the tannins are more obvious. Finishes with very good lingering spice.
