($94) Good full, bright red. Tight, pure nose offers raspberry, menthol and white pepper. Juicy, minerally and tight, with firm acidity giving shape to the smooth mid-palate. Spreads out to coat the mouth on the back end, which features serious spine. A very fresh style of 2009, from a blend of 80-year-old vines that yield small, concentrated berries and a parcel that contributes fresh fruit, according to assistant enologist Coralie Allexant.
