($203) Good deep red with ruby highlights. Very dark aromas of black cherry, blackberry, bitter chocolate and earth. Broad but a bit youthfully tough, offering less easy sweetness today than the Boudots. Finishes with substantial building dusty tannins and noteworthy power. This may well need six or seven years of bottle aging, while the more Vosne-like Boudots will probably be delicious in four or five years.
