($30) Bright straw. Pungent aromas of lemon zest, white peach, talc, jasmine and ginger, with a hint of white pepper. A dusty, focused midweight that offers lively citrus and pit fruit flavors underscored by tangy minerality. Far more understated than most New World viognier and a completely different creature than the Central Coast bottling. A bit dry on the spicy finish but refreshingly brisk and taut.
