Moderately saturated red-ruby. Restrained nose hints at plum, licorice and nutty, smoky oak. Sweet, broad and mouthcoating, with a dominant flavor of blackberry. Finishes broad and tannic, with a slight dryness. I'd be more optimistic about this wine's future in bottle if it showed a bit more energy today.
