Last night I took a break from deep purple cabs and chose this Mersault Pinot. Surprisingly, I did not enjoy the nose of this wine so I took in my first sip with reticence. Somehow its taste did not track its fragrance... its age and complexity, perhaps??? The color was ruby red and the taste was smooth and raspberry-like... a good 4-star rating is due.
