94 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - April 2011

Medium green-yellow. A cool veil of cigar smoke hovers over subtle notes of honey, apricot and cantaloupe in a multifaceted bouquet that evolves splendidly in the glass. This full-bodied veltliner display s a wonderful creaminess that integrates splendidly with the wine's vibrant acidity and mineral structure. Intensely aromatic throughout, with salty minerals joining in on the very long finish. The Honivogl enjoys a cult following, and this bottling should provide enjoyment at least through 2024.
