(there are 2,000 cases of this single-vineyard wine, made in cement and stainless steel tanks):  Ripe black cherry, menthol, licorice and a whiff of meaty reduction on the nose.  Sweet and dense but juicy and light on its feet; much riper and deeper than the rather green 2010 version.  This has the texture and material to support its moderate tannins.  Finishes with good persistence.
