($30) Good red-ruby. Wild dark berries and bitter chocolate aromas complicated by hints of smoked meat and flint. Juicy, spicy and bright, with rose and violet florality providing lift, and an impression of slightly elevated acidity keeping the wine quite firm. Finishes with solid tannins and good life.
