Deep red. Reticent but pure and very deep aromas of blueberry, red cherry, dried herbs, minerals and dark chocolate. Dense, spicy and intensely flavored if a bit imploded today, with the red berry, red cherry and mineral flavors gaining flesh with aeration. Still an infant, this serious wine's broad, fine, tooth-dusting tannins suggest that it will be superb with four or five years of cellaring.
