Deep ruby.  Complex aromas of red- and blackcurrant, cherry preserves, vanilla and pipe tobacco, with a spicy overtone.  Juicy and precise on entry, then fleshier in the mid-palate, offering sweet dark fruit flavors brightened by a minerally element.  Closes long and focused, leaving smoky cherry and cassis notes behind.  (JR)
