($47; malo in new oak, then aged in new oak, 80% French and 20% American) Inky ruby. Explosive aromas of black raspberry, cherry-vanilla, dried violet, mocha and cola. Sappy, bright and full, with impressive lift and grip giving the dense dark fruit a weightless quality. Expands to saturate the palate, finishing with velvety tannins and impressive length.
