About Au Bon Climat
Since it was founded in 1982, Au Bon Climat has been a well respected producer of Burgundian-styled California wines. Jim Clendenen's Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs are mineral, focused and restrained in the early going, and sometimes quite oaky.

92 Points | International Wine Cellar , November/December 2010
($45) Bright red. Raspberry and cherry aromas are lifted by a note of fresh rose, with complicating notes of smoky minerals and Asian spices. Lithe, precise and sweet, conveying a sense of power without weight. The wine's high-pitched notes of red berries, blood orange and minerals linger on a long and strikingly precise finish. This is a selection of lots from the Bien Nacido vineyard.
