($28; 80% sangiovese and 20% merlot) Bright ruby. Sexy, spice-accented aromas of red berries, dried flowers and underbrush. Then fresh, plush and silky, with impressive volume to its spicy red and dark fruit flavors. This seamless, high-pitched wine has good stuffing and finishes sweet and long, with soft tannins and no hard edges.
