($34; 15% alcohol) Inky purple. Exotic, floral-accented aromas of boysenberry and candied plum, with hints of fruitcake and black pepper. Lush and creamy on entry, then firmer in the middle, offering flavors similar to its aromas. A bit unyielding on the finish, which features notes of bitter chocolate and cherry pit. Serve this with a rich red meat dish.
