About Maison Chapoutier

Maison Chapoutier, the first négociant and producer to mark their bottlings with braille, was established in 1879 by Polydor Chapoutier. The business has remained family owned since then and is now run by Michel Chapoutier. His hands off approach to winemaking has lead to a resurgence in quality at Maison Chapoutier, which now produces some of the finest wines in the Rhone region of France.

Ruby-red.  Alluring red berry and floral scents are lifted by a spicy quality.  Juicy and perfumed on the palate, with fresh raspberry and cherry flavors picking up weight with air.  Finishes spicy and focused, with a lingering note of candied anise.
