(100% grenache from La Crau; raised in demi-muids):  Deep ruby.  Explosively perfumed bouquet of candied cherry, blackberry, vanilla and Asian spices, with a smoky overtone.  Lush, palate-staining red and dark fruit flavors show liqueur-like depth and power and pick up a spicy character with air.  Notes of licorice and white pepper build on the long, sappy, focused finish.
