Opaque ruby. Bright, assertively perfumed aromas of black raspberry, cherry-cola, potpourri and rose oil. Bright and spicy, offering mineral-driven dark berry flavors that show very good clarity and a sexy floral quality. Tangy acidity gives lift and cut to a long, sappy finish. The blend of density and energy in this all-grenache wine is intriguing. The regular 2009 showed too much reduction for me to judge it this year.
