(70% syrah and 20% syrah, the rest mourvedre and carignan):  Dark ruby.  Aromas of blackberry, licorice and violet, with a smoky note in the background.  Fleshy and broad, offering warm dark fruit preserve flavors and no rough edges.  Becomes spicier with air and finishes with good breadth, sweetness and cling.
