Patience, patience

One thing I have learned about Xavier's Rhone blends is that they are very highly strung. You really must wait at least a few MONTHS after receiving the wine to open a bottle. The difference is amazing. I suppose if I had traveled in the back of a UPS truck across the country I wouldn't be at my best for a while either. I consider this wine a good balance between New World opulence and Old World elegance. My husband prefers California reds but he likes this one. I prefer French wines so this one works for us.

A bit young now but I expect laying down the rest of the case will provide a very good tasting experience in 5 years and I am looking forward to that day!
