Inky ruby.  Cherry-cola, cassis and cracked pepper on the nose.  Big, broad and fleshy, with good depth to its smooth dark berry compote flavors and a late note of bitter chocolate.  Rich but surprisingly energetic shiraz with good finishing thrust and lingering spiciness.
