($20) Bright ruby-red. Extremely primary aromas of blackberry, mint and black pepper. Juicy and quite tightly wound but with a light touch. In a more elegant style than the malbec and cabernet reserve bottlings, but this nicely balanced, lively wine will need at least a couple of years to unfold and put on weight. Finishes with sneaky persistence and a late note of bitter chocolate.
