About Maison Chapoutier

Maison Chapoutier, the first négociant and producer to mark their bottlings with braille, was established in 1879 by Polydor Chapoutier. The business has remained family owned since then and is now run by Michel Chapoutier. His hands off approach to winemaking has lead to a resurgence in quality at Maison Chapoutier, which now produces some of the finest wines in the Rhone region of France.

Bright gold. Pungent pear skin and pit fruits on the nose, with complicating notes of dried flowers and honey. Juicy on entry, then firmer in the middle, offering dried orchard fruit and nougat flavors that show a dry edge. The pit fruit and herbal notes linger on a broad, chewy finish.
