(this is basically young-vines Cornas, with some fruit from outside the appellation blended in):  Deep ruby.  An intensely perfumed nose offers vibrant red berry, floral and smoked meat scents, along with black olive and cracked pepper.  Fresh and focused, with sweet black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors, silky tannins and strong spicy lift.  Impressively fresh and very easy to drink, but this wine also has the depth to age.
