About Maison Chapoutier
Maison Chapoutier, the first négociant and producer to mark their bottlings with braille, was established in 1879 by Polydor Chapoutier. The business has remained family owned since then and is now run by Michel Chapoutier. His hands off approach to winemaking has lead to a resurgence in quality at Maison Chapoutier, which now produces some of the finest wines in the Rhone region of France.

Opaque ruby. Dark berries, cherry and licorice on the smoky, pungent nose. Ripe and spicy, offering juicy blackberry and bitter cherry flavors lifted by tangy acidity. Becomes spicier with air and finishes nervy and long.
