88(+?) Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - January/February 2011

($30) Full ruby-red. Lightly roasted aromas of black cherry, dark raspberry and smoky oak. Full and smooth in the mouth, with oak-driven tones of coffee and mocha currently blurring the raspberry fruit. But edgy acidity gives this brooding, flavorful wine good vinosity. A supple, persistent midweight with dusty tannins; I'd give it another year of bottle aging.
