Bright violet color.  Ripe, oak-accented red and dark berries on the nose.  Sweet black raspberry and cherry flavors are complicated by notes of camphor and bitter chocolate, with a smoky oak note gaining strength with air.  Clings nicely on the finish, which echoes the smoke and berry notes.  This wine has the structure to reward a few years of bottle age.
