87-89 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - March/April 2011

Bright ruby. Spicy strawberry and raspberry aromas are lifted by a floral element and a hint of black tea. Fresh and precise, accented by silky texture and good breadth. Finishes firm and persistent, with attractive fruit and a slight dryness. My samples of the 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape Les Petits Pieds d'Armand hinted at outstanding depth of dark fruit but were too reduced for me to judge fairly. I look forward to re-tasting the finished wine this November. (Wines of France, Mountainside, NJ)
