Expert Reviews

92 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - January 2012

(made from a grenache-dominant blend that includes syrah, mourvedre, cinsault and clairette):  Bright ruby.  Complex, seductively perfumed scents of candied red and dark berries, lavender, sassafras and woodsmoke, with slow-building spiciness.  Broad and seamless on the palate, with sweet black raspberry and cherry-cola flavors that become spicier with air.  Closes with impressive vivacity and cut, leaving floral and allspice notes behind.
