Medium red.  Cherry, Indian spices and dried rose on the fragrant, smoky nose.  Ripe and smooth on entry, then tighter in the middle, offering bitter cherry and black raspberry flavors perked up by a slow-mounting mineral quality.  Seamless and focused pinot with impressive finishing clarity and smoky persistence.  Balanced to age over the next few years but this drinks very well now with some decanting.
