This is the quintessential everyday wine. Rich, red, easy to drink. Easy to gulp if that is your style. Great with Italian sausage, pizza (DiGiorno - yeah it's that good), any rich dish. And I had the second half of a bottle two days later with pasta with tomato sauce. Mayb not a match made in heaven, but fine for a quick dinner on the run. Wish I bought more.

A rather nice Zin. Nothing complex...nice fruit and average finish. Good value!
Not a zin drinker

As a rule, I am not much of a zin drinker, and neither is my wife. But we are quickly working our way through a case of this gem. It is sublte and versatile and pairs nicely with a variety of hearty foods.
Fantastic balance

I chose to pair bottles one and two to some beautiful 1 1/2" thick grilled Veal Chops, what a superb evening that was. Just writing this now makes my mouth water. This Zin was one of the most enjoyable I had in a long time.

This is a nice, easydrinking Zinfandel, that is not overpowered, like many others. Nice, fresh berry taste.
Refined, toned down zin! Like it.

Not like the jammy zins I've grown accustomed to. Liked it very much. Paired extremely well with magret duck breast.

Have not yet tried the wine. I normally let a wine that is shipped to me sit in the cellar from 2 to 6 weeks before opening.
tasty

A nice, lighter (in a nice way) zinfandel. Well described by the WineAccess Tasting Notes.

please understand that all my scores are based on price, i.e. I may give a very good score to an inexpensive wine that drinks like a more expensive wine, while a more expensive wine may receive a lower score when it is actually superior.

This is an easy drinking zin. Not spectacular, but a good value.

The wine was as expected- an average zin at a cheap price. As is usually the case, you get what you pay for, and I was neither surprised nor disappointed.

Food friendly Zin lacks punch and staying power. Fair value at $12.50. Does not live up to the Wine Access tasting notes.
Did not live up to the hype

"gorgeously vibrant, dar-red berry gem" I bought a case of this wine based on your description, which I have done for other wines that you've described and have been impressed (the last being the Dutton-Goldfield Pinot). I was disappointed in this wine however - it did not live up to the description.

Have drank two bottles of the case and for my palate this wine has too much oak covering up the fruit. Will try some after it has had more time to age.
