About Domaine du Carrou
Domaine du Carrou dates to 1950, when the late Maurice Roger began on six acres of limestone-rich soil in Bué. Winemaking, though, was nothing new to him—his family had been making Sancerre in the Loire Valley since the 17th century. Today, Maurice’s son Dominique manages the family vineyard, which has quadrupled in size over the years.

Lemon, citrus, and wet stone flavors. One of my favorite food wines! Thank you!

The 2010 Domaine du Carrou Sancerre is a good Loire wine. By all rights, it should have been fresh but it appears to have been worn by its journey and, consequently, did not quite live up to the high expectations raised by the WineAccess description, which was thoughtfully included in the package

Delicious. great fruit, lots of mineral, and bright, clean acid. dances in the mouth.

I am not too fond of the grapefruit combination, it gives me a cork taste.
