89(+?) Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September/October 2011

Bright gold.  Very ripe, minerally aromas of apple, Meyer, lemon honey and crushed stone.  Silky in texture and distinctly ripe, with powerful flavors of pit and orchard fruits and an exotic note of mango.  Showing the ripe vintage character today, with resonating spice notes on the long, clinging finish.  In fact, this seems a bit disjointed but this old-vines release has a fine track record for harmonizing and improving with bottle age.
