90-93 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May/June 2011

Good deep medium ruby.  Vibrant aromas of crystallized blackberry and rocky minerality.  Tightly wound and backward, even youthfully tough today; this could support a longer than normal elevage.  Finishes with substantial tannins.  More site-typical than vintage-typical, this masculine, Pauillac-like wine will need patience once it's bottled.
