Straw-yellow. Yellow peach, crystallized ginger, anise and minerals on the nose. Round and ripe but not thick or heavy, and much less showy than past versions of Cometa, with a restraint to the tangy flavors of peach, dried apricot, licorice and herbs. Expands nicely on the back half, finishing lemony, minerally and long. Will likely improve with another year in the cellar.
