Bright light red. Medicinal red cherry, crystallized blackberry, violet and herbs on the nose. Fresh, juicy and tightly wrapped, with tangy flavors of herbal red berries and salty minerals. Lively acidity and a firm tannic spine, as well as less obviously ripe red fruit, give this a slightly austere feel on the long finish. Though not yet pliant, it has the structure and material to reward aging.
