Bright red-ruby.  Currant and chocolate on the nose; seems lower-pitched than the 2007 model.  Moderately ripe and fleshy, with currant, cherry and licorice flavors complicated by earth, cola and herbs.  Essentially supple cabernet with a light herbal quality on the back end.
