Good dark red.  More vibrant on the nose than the Albarella, offering enticing scents of red cherry, plum, mocha, clove and white truffle.  Plump in the middle but with better definition and lift than the classico and Albarella bottlings.  Quite fine-grained, with firm but well-integrated acidity giving this wine terrific balance for 2007.  Sexy truffley soil tones run straight through to the long finish, which features even tannins that reach the front teeth.  Wonderfully silky Barolo.
