Producer: Cartha

Grape Type: Pinot Noir
Origin: California
Region: Sonoma
Appellation: Sonoma Coast

Dark, bright red. Complex aromas of dusty cherry and sandalwood complemented by pepper, flowers and herbs. At once sappy and velvety, with nicely concentrated red fruit and spice flavors offering considerable immediate appeal. This deep, rich California pinot finishes with sweet tannins and lovely lingering perfume. Rather Burgundian in style, with moderate alcohol. Made by John Raytek, whose own Ceritas Wines are quickly becoming cult items.

We definitely enjoyed the first bottle. We are hoarding the rest and will use it sparingly.

Bravo wineaccess! Delicious, balanced, concentrated, pinot noir. One of the best of tasted. I should have bought a whole case instead of six bottles. Cheers!

Huge cherry core, smooth, easy drinking, should be great for a few more years. Had same night as Michel Gassier Cercius and it shone brightly, completely different wine and both great in their own ways. This is more charming and immediately satisfying, great rich cherry kind of pinot, not huge elegance but saucy & fun to drink.

We let this sit for two months after receipt. Crisp flavors. Very nice. We have drunk the case in the last month.
Good, light, CA pinot

Nothing super special, but a nice light pinot, especially by CA standards. Wouldn't want to pay any more for it, but it is fairly priced.
Holding up well after a week

The tannens come out just a hair and the wine gets a bit more complexity, which is a good indicator of its aging potential, which I would say should go for about 10 years or so. The star count is to average out my reviews to the 3-1/2 stars that I think it easily deserves.
Great summer pinot.

Chilled for about 20 minutes in the frig, 93 degrees outside. Very fruit-forward and almost refreshing. Loved this pinot, a good bargain and would buy again. Would rate at 4.5
Smooth. Very good.

I would give it 3-1/2 stars but this system doesn't allow for that, which is quite frustrating. Nice wine, if not something extraordinary. A party pleaser at a very attractive price.

Very easy drinking wine. Had with pasta and summer sauce which it complimented well. Will work well with anything off of the grill.
